At Preston Road Nursery we provide a healthy, safe and happy learning environment, where all children can flourish and develop at their own age and stage. We support, encourage and nurture children to achieve their goals and skills.
We keep in close contact with every child’s parents through link books, regular parent-teacher meetings and events, such as Stay and Play, to ensure that the nursery can be a home away from home, where every child continues the development which they started at home.
We have a Key Person system from the very beginning to allow each child to build a strong bond with an adult in the nursery to support their well-being

At Preston Road Nursery, we have a great outdoor space, for children to explore, play and learn with nature.
The children are encouraged to grow and look after their fruit and vegetable patch in the garden. We also have a diverse range of outdoor toys, including bikes, hoops, outdoor chess, and toy gardening tools. Our great resources provide children with the opportunity to exercise and develop their strength and stamina, while having fun and learning.
We believe learning should be incorporated through a child’s whole environment, both indoors and outdoors.

At Preston Road Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage programme, which sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.
We provide babies with a safe, rich world with opportunities to actively explore, with books and songs, and lots of listening and responding to their vocalisations and words.
In the big room, we encourage children to develop problem-solving skills, recognise numbers, read short words and show a simple understanding of science and basic mathematics. We also encourage the children to develop their social skills, including listening and empathy. We prepare children for primary school and beyond.

Preston Road Nursery is situated in a great location, close to Preston Road with easy access to public transport. We are less than 10 minutes walk to Preston Road Underground Station.

The nursery is also situated near local shops, parks, and a library.

We also have an onsite car park.

We have great links to the primary independent schools in northwest London.

Our enthusiastic team love to encourage all children to join in with group activities and try new games in our indoor and outdoor environments. Young babies and pre-toddlers have designated areas for exploration and learning. We provide them with stimulating choices of experiences and activities, based on their individual needs and abilities, to promote their well-being and development. In the big room, your little ones will have fun getting messy in the creative area with cooking sessions and daily art experiences.

Children that attend Preston Road Nursery are from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. Children from all faiths and countries learn from each other. Our practitioners support children’s beliefs and values through diverse activities, for example, children take part in trying foods from different cultures and celebrating numerous festivals from diverse backgrounds. We aim to encourage children’s natural curiosity for different foods, cultures and languages.
